Letter from our President

In my eighteen years in the industry, I have learned that providers of indemnity services set very different objectives for their businesses.  I found the most common of these to be: “to sell the most product” and “to achieve the highest profit margin”.

I created Midwest Indemnity because I believe an indemnity solution is not a “product”.  It is, rather, an agreement among business partners … borne from mutual respect and the understanding of one another’s goals.  I wanted clients to come to us, not because they are obligated to, but because they are looking to make their businesses more secure and successful for themselves and their customers.  I envisioned a company that considers the individual prosperity of those who come to work with us and for us to be its success.

I believe that profits sustain a business, but integrity defines it.  Achieving our company’s mission is not about becoming the biggest indemnity company, selling the most, nor making the latest service offering. Instead, the Midwest Indemnity family was built one client at a time, each being welcomed in with an indemnity solution distinctively crafted to support their business.

We see Midwest Indemnity as a trusted ally, working hand-in-hand with every client as we customize solutions to meet their individual needs.  We strive to give each the confidence to focus on their business, knowing they can count on us to be by their side every step of the way, helping them realize their objectives faster and more reliably than they could alone.  Midwest Indemnity values the American spirit and “can do” attitude of entrepreneurs who have grown their businesses from nothing into something special. We want to honor their effort by supporting and partnering with these business-persons to help them defend their companies and protect them from risks and threats.

Midwest Indemnity’s commitment to you is also mine.  We look forward to partnering with you in designing solutions that will strengthen, protect, and advance your company.

Mission Statement & Corporate Philosophy

Our mission is to help secure the success of every business we serve by providing indemnity solutions that reinforce the goals of each of our clients and provide peace of mind to them and their customers.

We understand that business involves risk.  We see our role as a trusted business partner who helps our clients prepare for and ameliorate this risk.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity and competence.  We count ourselves as successful only when our clients achieve success.

Randy McCarty
Founder and President of Midwest Indemnity Company, LLC

Growing up in Sedan, Kansas, a little town with a big heart, Randy learned the value of offering a helping hand when the need arises.  There, a handshake sealed the deal, and your word was your bond.

Randy initially worked in the oil industry, where he developed a strong work ethic.  He also saw how bad things can happen to good people when the oil business dried up the 80’s.  The latter part of that decade proved to be significant for Randy. He moved to Wichita, where he worked at Cessna, and later Boeing, becoming one of a very few machine tool technicians operating one-off machines.

In 1987, Randy turned his life over to Christ.  Shortly thereafter, he was married to his wife and partner Stacy.  The entrepreneur within him, who dreamed of creating a way to help others, now compelled him to explore how to start his own business and make this a reality.

He launched Bad Boy Bail Bonds in 1999.  After many hours burning the candle at both ends, his business soared, and it remains one of the top bonding companies in Wichita to this day. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Kansas Bail Bonds Association.

Randy serves as an Officer of the 18th Judicial District Court of Kansas in Sedgwick County, and is certified to write surety.

In 2013, Randy recognized the needs of responsible business owners who want to protect their interests and created Midwest Indemnity to assist them.  The company is guided by his motto, “There to help, when bad things happen to good people.”

The same passion to provide second chances for others also drives Randy in his personal life.  He and Stacy are members of the Well Worship Center. They participate in mission trips inside and outside the US, most recently to Honduras.  They also serve as interventionists for people who struggle with drugs and alcohol.  The McCarty’s are grateful for the abundant blessings in their lives and the privilege of being able to minister to others.

Randy’s personal interests include working on cars and airplanes and collecting vintage vehicles. He is a licensed private pilot, and built his house on Cook Airfield K50, from where he flies his Cessna 182 and Bellanca Super Viking. Also, Randy has extensively traveled the USA on his Harley-Davidson.  However, Randy’s favorite time is spent together with his family. The McCarty family includes five successful adult children and five grandchildren. Randy especially enjoys taking the little ones fishing or riding in his muscle cars.
